Caroline Czarnecki, MHC-LP

Caroline received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. Her previous mental health experience includes providing individual, group, and couples therapy in a private practice setting. Her clinical approach involves implementing sustainable behavioral changes, new thought patterns, higher self-esteem, and effective mindfulness techniques.

In the first few sessions, Caroline prioritizes creating a comfortable therapeutic environment for her clients. She focuses on building trust, compassion, openness, and understanding. Caroline seeks to help her clients increase self awareness by addressing maladaptive thoughts and behaviors that may be contributing to their symptoms. She uses Relational Therapy to establish a therapeutic dynamic which facilitates gaining insight into how clients treat themselves. Using psychodynamic theory, she assists her clients in exploring how past experiences and narratives affect their present.

Caroline’s specializations include treating clients who may be experiencing anxious, intrusive, or maladaptive thought and behavioral patterns, depressive symptoms, life transitions, and/or relationship issues. Her areas of clinical expertise consist of treating Anxiety Disorders, Depressive Disorders, Mood Disorders, ADHD, grief, and trauma.

Caroline approaches therapy as a collaborative process which benefits from client feedback. She works with clients to ensure their therapy experience feels compassionate, progress-orientated, and individualized. Throughout the therapy process, she continuously reassesses her client’s treatment plan and goals.

In her spare time, Caroline enjoys traveling, finding new restaurants, attending art exhibitions, and reading non-fiction. She loves to laugh with her clients.
